TYPES OF NANNIES

  • Nannies offer professional childcare in the comfort of your own home. In addition to the highest quality of childcare, nannies can make meals for the children, transport them to/from activities, and assist with child-related household chores.

    Nanny rates vary based on their qualifications, the number and ages of the children requiring care, and other responsibilities of the job.

    All Thrive Nannies have a minimum of 3 years of childcare experience and have training in CPR and First Aid. Many of our nannies possess additional certifications and experience. We recommend a starting rate of $23/hour for a traditional Nanny.

  • Special Needs Nannies perform all of the traditional nanny duties while using their specialized skills to better meet the needs of your child with special needs.

    Just as there is a wide variety of special needs, there is a wide variety of experience and skills that these nannies bring to the table. Some Special Needs Nannies are Certified Nursing Assistants, while others are Registered Behavior Technicians, while still others have accumulated years of experience working in Special Education classrooms. We will work with you to match the needs of your child to a Special Needs Nanny who can meet those needs.

  • Special Needs Attendants' duties and specialized skill level are equivalent to a Special Needs Nanny, but these caregivers specialize in working with adults with disabilities.

    Special Needs Attendant rates vary based on their qualifications, the number of individuals requiring care, and other responsibilities of the job.

    All Thrive Attendants have a minimum of 3 years of caregiving experience and have training in CPR and First Aid. Special Needs Attendants posses additional specialized skills. Because of their higher qualifications, we recommend a starting rate of $25/hour.

  • When you need support for your child’s learning, whether that is virtual learning, implementing a pre-made curriculum, or creating and implementing a complete personalized curriculum, Nanny Educators are here to support the education of your children.

    Nanny Educators possess teaching experience and/or training. Those who are the primary responsible party for the children’s education are certified teachers.

    Nanny Educator rates vary based on their qualifications, the type of educational arrangement, the number and ages of children, and other responsibilities of the job.

    All Thrive Educator Nannies have a minimum of 3 years of childcare/tutoring experience and have training in CPR and First Aid. Educator Nannies posses additional skills and experience in the area of teaching. Because of their high qualifications, we recommend a starting rate of $28/hour.

  • Some families may need a nanny who takes care of additional, non-child-related household duties on top of child care. These families would benefit from a Household Manager Nanny.

    Household Manager Nanny rates vary based on their qualifications, the number, and needs of the children requiring care, the amount and type of household responsibilities, and other responsibilities of the job.

    All Thrive Household Manager Nannies have a minimum of 3 years of caregiving experience and have training in CPR and First Aid. Because of the extra responsibility of household management, we recommend a starting rate of $25/hour.

  • A Nannysitter is a nanny for the occasional childcare needs. We know finding quality care for your child is difficult. With this in mind Nannysitters are highly skilled and qualified caregivers. With a Nannysitter you get the reassurance of knowing a professional nanny is caring for your child on an as-need basis to suit your family’s needs. Nannysitters are for occasional childcare needs under 8 hours a week.

    All Thrive Nannysitters have are CPR, and First Aid Certified. We recommend a starting rate of $20 per hours.

  • An economical alternative to a private Nanny is a Nanny Share. Nanny Shares boast the added benefit of a built-in social circle for the children.

    In a Nanny Share, typically two families employ one nanny and split the cost. Ideally, the children are close in age, and it is up to the families to decide in which home the childcare will take place.

    Typically each family pays 2/3 of the Nanny's typical rate.
