Child Behavior Series 1: The Science of Behavior and Reinforcement

Our January 2023 class is our first class in a three part series discussing child behavior. In this hour long class we will go over what positive reinforcement is, and how to use it in a meaningful way to encourage learning and growth in your child, and to build up a positive relationship between yourself and your child or nanny kid. We will do this using scientific principles that have been studied and honed for over 50 years.

Our February 2023 session is the second of a three-part series on Child Behavior. This session will focus on The Four Functions of Behavior. At the end of the class, you will have the knowledge and tools to identify the reason behind your Nanny Kid’s more frequent problem behaviors.

Our March 2023 class is our the final class in our three part series discussing child behavior. In this hour long class we will go over strategies to prevent problem behaviors from occurring as well as what to do when behaviors do occur.

This training is presented by our first guest speaker, Hailey Bonin. Hailey will be sharing her experience and what she wished she knew on her first day as a nanny. Topics to be covered include: setting boundaries, expectations (both the parent’s and the nanny’s), and self care.

Our May 2022 class focuses on language development and how to help facilitate language through play. We talk about developmental milestones as well as the different verbal operants and how to incorporate fun activities and games into your day to help increase your nanny child’s language development.

Emergent Literacy Part 1

Our September 2023 training is the first in our Emergent Literacy series. This training focuses on phonological awareness and we provide lots of easy to implement games and strategies to use with your kids to strength their phonological skills.

Our November 2023 training is the second and final part in our Emergent Literacy series. This training focuses on phonics, fluency, vocabulary, and comprehension. Again we provide lots of easy to implement games and strategies to use with your nanny kids to strength their literacy skills.

Central Texas Autism Center presented for our December 2023 training. Jessica Quintanilla M.Ed, BCBA, LBA presented on how to potty train using ABA and researched from Azrin and Foxx. If you are ready to potty train your child this is the perfect training for you.

Potty Training For All Abilities

American Red Cross: Water Safety for Parent Caregivers

The Water Safety for Parents and Caregivers Online Course focuses on developing an awareness of the risks of drowning and how to minimize those risks, especially for young children. This online course teaches parents and caregivers about the concepts of the circle of drowning prevention, water competency and the chain of drowning survival. It also provides guidance for applying water safety to common environments and situations where children are most at risk for drowning. Upon completion of this course you will receive a certification of completion.
